When a property is newly built various issues need to be checked. These include whether the property has the appropriate planning permission and building regulation approval and also a building guarantee from companies such as NHBC or Zurich, which is acceptable to Lenders.
Also there are factors such as whether the road and sewers will be built to an acceptable standard and ultimately become the responsibility of the public bodies. Other matters can be if the building and use of the property is actually permitted in light of restrictions on the deeds.
